Frequency inverter driven, dry-running protection and sieve tube
Regularly, the client forgot to turn off the pump when emptying the pasta mixer (vessel), causing a defect in the pump as it kept pumping. In addition, the pressure after the pump was frequently too high. This caused snaps of the plastic pipe that went through a metal detector and made the detector inoperative.
A weight system was installed. This system gives a notification when the pasta mixer is almost empty. Also, this notification stops the pump from emptying the pasta mixer. The last bit has to be emptied by an operator, just by pressing a button. A frequency inverter is placed to limit the pump which makes sure the plastic pipe no longer snaps. Finally, a sieve tube has been added to sieve the pasta.
In conclusion, there are no more defects in the pump thanks to the weight system. In addition, the plastic pipe does not snap anymore because of the frequency inverter. Both systems have dramatically decreased the level of defects.
